First thing first, if you are under the influence of any kind of substance be it weed or alcohol, you should not get behind the driving wheel.

Period.

That being said, the numbers clearly show that if you’re behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol, you are ten times more likely to have an accident in comparison to if you have smoked weed.

It is also a fact that there is an apparent difference between a sober person and a stoned person.

But when driving after you have been getting stoned, there is a slight difference in the likelihood of crashing the car. If you’re someone who has been smoking weed like a pro then you’re less likely to get into an accident in comparison to someone who is an inexperienced smoker.

There has been research into this and it has been found out that if a regular smoker has about a third of a joint, they will drive more cautiously but smoking a whole joint might just get them into trouble with their motor functions and reaction timings while on the move.
